Advantages of thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR materials:
1. It can be recycled to effectively save energy and is an ideal material to replace rubber and silica gel.
2. The property is relatively stable, with good temperature resistance (using temperature range -50-100℃), aging resistance, chemical resistance and solvent resistance. Excellent processability
3. Environmental protection, innocuity, safety, excellent coloring and soft touch. TPE materials do not introduce heavy metals and toxic phthalate plasticizers in the production process, and conform to ROHS, REACH, EN71, PAHS and FDA environmental protection tests. It is a good material to replace PVC.
4. Energy conservation. Most thermoplastic elastomers do not require vulcanization or the vulcanization time is very short, the production efficiency is greatly improved, and the molding period is short.
5. It has high elasticity of rubber and can be directly injection molded.
6. It can not only be injection molded twice, but also be coated and bonded with PP, PE, PC, PS, ABS and other matrix materials, or be molded separately.
Disadvantages of TPE materials:
The big problem with TPE is its poor heat resistance, and its use temperature should not exceed 80℃. At the same time, its strong elongation, weather resistance, oil resistance, wear resistance, etc. are also not comparable to rubber.
