Matters Needing Attention in Forming High Transparent TPE

Some TPE products that require visibility, such as infusion tube catheters, luminous soft rubber toys, etc., have rigid requirements on the transparency of TPE materials. How to process TPE products with high transparency? The author believes that we can start from the following three aspects:
1.TPE raw materials
Highly transparent TPE material has its own special compounding system. SEBS and oil grade are all carefully selected. We suggest to find a professional TPE manufacturer.
2. Addition of organic pigments
Generally made TPE transparent material, the color background is colorless or slightly yellowish. However, research shows that the transparent color with blue background makes people feel more transparent.
In actual products, many adult products and PVC medical products will be added with a small amount of blue organic pigments (such as ultramarine and phthalocyanine blue) to make a light blue background. One is for transparency, the other is to feel more medical and environmentally friendly.
3. Appropriate processing temperature
TPE transparent material processing needs to reach the required molding temperature in order to produce high transparency products. The temperature is not enough, the surface of the finished product is not bright and foggy.
According to the molecular weight of TPE transparent material hardness tester substrate, the forming temperature of transparent TPE is 130~250 degrees. For materials with high hardness, the forming temperature is relatively higher. Generally, the hardness of transparent TPE ranges from 0 to 0~70A.
How to judge whether the temperature is appropriate? Looking at the nozzle of the product, if the glossiness of the nozzle at the gate section is not enough, the molding temperature needs to be increased.
